The second morning aboard
About this pouch
Eggs scrambled soft with tomato, onion, red pepper, spring onion and black pepper: perico, the breakfast Venezuela wakes up to. It's the savoury one, for anyone who'd rather start the day with eggs than oats. On the second morning aboard, with the coffee on and the sails still bagged, it's a hot breakfast with no pan to wash in a rolling galley. It's cooked first, then freeze-dried whole, with the eggs fully cooked. Pour in 180 ml of hot water, zip it shut for 5 minutes and eat it from the pouch or spoon it onto bread.
