Questions
How do I prepare a meal?
Open the pouch, take out the oxygen absorber and add 300 ml of water, hot (80–100 °C) or cold. Stir, zip it shut and wait 8 minutes with hot water, or about 20 with cold; the cold time varies. Stir again and eat from the pouch.
How long does it keep?
36 months sealed, kept cool and dry. The best-before date is printed on the base of the pouch. Once opened, use it within 24 hours; once the water is in, eat it straight away.
What about allergens?
Every product page lists the ingredients with allergens in bold, above the buy button. Meal No. 01 has no declared allergens; Pasta Bolognese contains wheat (gluten) and celery.
Is one pouch enough for lunch?
For lunch, yes. One 110 g pouch is 430 to 450 kcal and 28 to 41 g of protein, about 410 g on the plate once the water is in.
Which meals are high protein?
These get at least 20 % of their energy from protein, the EU line for “high protein”: Meals No. 01 Chicken & Rice (41 g × 4 kcal = 164 of 430 kcal, 38 %); Meals No. 02 Beef Chili & Rice (32 g × 4 kcal = 128 of 440 kcal, 29 %); Meals No. 03 Pasta Bolognese (28 g × 4 kcal = 112 of 450 kcal, 25 %); Meals No. 04 Lentil & Chorizo (30 g × 4 kcal = 120 of 440 kcal, 27 %).
