Night watch off Sotogrande
About this pouch
Off Sotogrande on a night watch, the galley is a kettle and one free hand. Rations No. 02 is the chili of Meal No. 02 in the larger orange pouch: rice and beef with kidney beans, tomato, onion, red pepper, cumin, paprika and chilli. The chili is cooked first, then freeze-dried whole, and it stows dry in any locker. The pouch carries 480 kcal for the hours after midnight. Before a batch goes into pouches its water activity has to read 0.60 or lower, and the reading goes on the batch record.
