A summer evening
About this pouch
Strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants cooked down with sugar, lemon, vanilla and a little starch until they set into a glossy, tart-sweet compote. It's Rote Grütze, the red berry pudding northern Germany eats all summer, and it's vegan. On a summer evening, when it's too warm for anything heavy, it's a dessert that needs no fridge and no flame. The compote is cooked first, then freeze-dried whole. Stir in 150 ml of cold water, close the zip for about 15 minutes and eat it cool from the pouch.
