First light at anchor
About this pouch
At first light at anchor the cockpit is damp and nobody aboard wants to cook. Breakfast No. 01 is oat flakes with apple, banana and strawberry, whole milk powder, brown sugar and cinnamon. Like the Rations mains, it's cooked first, then freeze-dried whole. Pour in 250 ml of hot water and it's ready in five minutes, while the kettle goes back on for coffee; cold water works too, with a longer wait. Every batch is packed only when its water activity measures 0.60 or lower, and the lot number on the base leads to its record.
