Cold hands after a long walk

About this pouch

Chicken, a ham bone and a beef bone simmered for hours with leek, carrot, turnip and a sprig of mint, then skimmed and reduced. It's caldo de puchero, the broth of a slow Sunday stew, the kind you drink from a cup with a mint leaf floating on top. After a long walk, with cold hands round the mug, it tastes of a kitchen that's had the stove on all day. Freeze-drying takes the last of the water and leaves all of that in the pouch. A spoonful of 10 g, 250 ml of hot water, a stir and a minute: one pouch makes six cups.
